Autobot
Reveal 🠪 After your opponent chooses an attacker and before they choose a defender.
When Revealed 🠪 One of your Autobots Autobot gets Brave until end of battle.
Relevant Rulings
Once I reveal Step Forward and choose one of my Autobots to get Brave, can my opponent change which of their characters is attacking?

No. The choice of attacker is locked in before Step Forward is revealed.

Secret Actions say they scrap at the end of my opponent's turn. If I Brainstorm, Secret Action, Peace Through Tyranny, how long does the Secret Action stay out? Will it stay out for my second turn, until it is my opponent's turn, and then scrap at the end of their turn? Or do Secret Actions just scrap at the end of the following turn, so it would scrap at the end of my second turn?

It will stay out for your second turn and scrap at the end of your opponent's turn.

What happens if someone has Brave and Stealth at the same time, like if I played Hiding Spot on Blitzwing while he was in tank mode, do they cancel out, does the newer stays take effect?

They cancel each other out. An attacker is not able to fulfill both conditions, therefore the attacking player can choose a defender as normal.

If you have a Stealthiness attached to Headstrong in his Alternate Mode, what happens? Does Brave trump the Stealth or vice versa?

The opponent can choose to attack any available target; they essentially cancel each other out.

Can you use Optimus Prime - Battlefield Legend to play a Secret Action?

Yes. Secret Actions are actions.

If I have Infiltrate face down on the table during my opponent's turn when they play a secret action, can I reveal Infiltrate on the off chance that my opponent's secret action has an orange icon?

No. Although the game knows that Secret Actions are Actions, it doesnt know specifically which one it is, so it doesnt know which Battle Icons it has, meaning Infiltrate will not work in this scenario.

What is Brave?

Brave is a new keyword ability that helps some characters protect the rest of their team. When
choosing which enemy to attack, you must choose one with brave if possible.

My opponent has two characters with brave that I could attack. What happens?

You choose one of them to attack.

My opponent has one tapped character and one untapped character with brave. Do I have to
attack the one with brave?

No, and in fact you can’t even if you want to. Brave doesn’t override the rules for attacking
tapped/untapped characters. If your opponent has any tapped characters you must attack one
of them. If a tapped character had brave, you would have to attack that one if you could.

Tags: Brave
What happens if two characters both have Brave? Do I get to pick out of the two, which receives the damage?

If two or more characters have Brave, the attacking player can choose between them.

What are Secret Actions?

Secret Actions are a new kind of Action card, keeping your opponent in the dark until it’s too
late for them to stop you. To play a Secret Action, put it into the played area (where actions and
flipped battle cards normally go) face down. Secret Actions don’t have an immediate effect, but
wait until later in the game to do their thing, often on your opponent’s turn!
Each Secret Action has two parts. First, a Reveal condition. This tells you when to reveal the
Secret Action by turning it face up. Most Reveal conditions are things your opponent does, like
attack one of your characters or play certain kinds of cards.
Second, a When Revealed effect. This tells you what the Secret Action does when it’s finally
revealed. After a Secret Action is revealed this way, it stays in the played area and will be
scrapped at the end of the turn.
One warning though: Secret Actions won’t wait around forever. If a Secret Action is played
during your turn, it will wait until the end of your opponent’s next turn. If its Reveal condition
isn’t met by then, it will be scrapped along with all the other played or flipped cards from that
turn. It’s scrapped face up, and scrapping it this way won’t cause its When Revealed effect to
happen.

Tags: Secret Action
Does playing a Secret Action count as playing an Action?

Yes. For example, if a card says you can play an Action, it can be a Secret Action.
Source: Wizards of the Coast (2019-03-01)    【Link to Ruling】
Tags: Secret Action
Can I look at my Secret Action after I play it but before its Reveal condition is met?

Yes. Your opponent can’t look at your Secret Actions until you reveal them.

Tags: Secret Action
Say I have Thundercracker, Mach Warrior, who has the ability “When you play an Action ->
This gets +1 [A] until end of turn. If I play a Secret Action, does that ability trigger? Does it
trigger when the Secret Action is revealed?

It will trigger when you first play the Secret Action. The ability won’t trigger again when the
Secret Action is revealed.
Source: Wizards of the Coast (2019-03-01)    【Link to Ruling】
Tags: Secret Action
When your opponent triggers a Secret Action, does it go into the Scrap Pile or does it still scrap at the end of your opponent's turn?

It stays in the played area and scraps at the end of your opponent’s turn.
Source: Wizards of the Coast (2019-06-07)    【Link to Ruling】
Tags: Secret Action
Can you set more than one Secret Action in a turn?

As long as another card is allowing you to play more than one action, that action can be a Secret Action.
Source: Wizards of the Coast (2019-06-07)    【Link to Ruling】
Tags: Secret Action
Can you opt out of flipping a Secret Action, even if it triggers? For example, if Infiltrate is on the field and your opponent plays an orange Action, could you choose not to negate it and hold Infiltrate's negate effect for -- hypothetically -- a second action that they use through other means?

Revealing Secret Actions is optional. A little while back, we had answered a question pertaining to this issue and said revealing Secret Actions was mandatory. After testing and reflecting on this internally, we’ve decided to reverse that decision. If additional game actions occur after the event that would have revealed the Secret Action, the player whose Secret Action it is will be considered to have elected not to reveal it. Note: This doesn’t mean you should play fast in order to try and trip your opponent up. If your opponent has played a Secret Action, you should give them a reasonable chance to reveal it.

Tags: Secret Action
When you play a secret action, is it considered playing a card with no icons? Because you are playing it face-down?

Yes, it is!
Source: Wizards of the Coast (2019-06-28)    【Link to Ruling】
Tags: Secret Action
Can the Secret Action be activated on your turn with the requirement is fulfilled?

Yes.
Source: Wizards of the Coast (2019-07-29)    【Link to Ruling】
Tags: Secret Action
Based on the fact that Special Ops Mission exists in conjunction with Brainstorm, does that mean you cannot play a Secret Action using a battle card effect (like those on Multi-Mission Gear or Brainstorm) unless it specifically says so?

Things that effect actions also effect secret actions, which are a subset of actions.

Notes from Deck of the Day:
"Card of the day today is Solarbot from wave 8.

Likely more of a sideboard card than anything else, Solarbot is a hard character to build around. Being unable to cause his bot mode effect to work and instead relying on the opponent to make him good leaves him very little room to facilitate. However, his alt mode is quite unique among mini-cassettes, giving him stealth while untapped and brave while tapped could prove a somewhat useful distraction to protect your centerpiece character, fulfilling a similar role to Fireflight, though his 2 extra health comes at the cost of impermanent brave and less attack. Likely the best option for Solarbot to be a main part of your game plan is to have him protect someone else. You could slot him in pretty comfortably with Blaster or Soundwave because of him being a mini-cassette, and there's plentiful characters that could use a good meat shield.

Today I've gone with Whirl to be the one Solarbot is defending from assault. A fellow Autobot, Whirl is quite a fragile character, but he packs a good punch and enjoys a blue deck, which should help Solarbot survive an extra hit or two. However, since neither character cares all that much about flipping, the third character should care a lot about flipping. For this purpose, I went with Sergeant Mirage, because of his alt flip effect drawing cards, he should help the deck keep up with card plays, plus his extra tankiness when there's a secret action around makes him a nice candidate for meat shield. Additionally, this makes the whole team full of ranged characters, which is helpful when building a blue deck to throw direct damage everywhere.

For battlecards, mostly pretty typical blue stuff, the double blues for extra tankage, a slew of secret actions to help tank even harder and give mirage that tough 2. Marksmanship, Armed Hovercraft and Sturdy Javelin to throw out extra direct damage on top of what Whirl is doing, Sparring Gear, Reinforced Plating, Urban Camo and Rapid Response Cycle are all Armors and Utilities useful for limiting incoming damage. I particularly like Rapid Response Cycle on Solarbot, given his low star cost, it will likely be a +2 defence utility a lot of the time. Otherwise, Bashing Shield and Drill Arms to get rid of anti direct damage armors like Holomatter Projector that could ruin the fun and a Sabotaged Armaments to get rid of scary weapons. Additionally, there is a one of each of Energon Axe and Swap Missions to make Whirl a really scary attacker and make him attack even more.

The deck seems to allow for a good sequence where we flip mirage, attack, flip him again, hopefully draw two cards, send in Solarbot, flip mirage again, send in Whirl, untap and repeat. However, do keep in mind that Solarbot gains stealth after the unatp, so Whirl and Mirage will be vulnerable for that turn, make sure to set a beefy secret action or armor them up before that big swing comes in. Overall, most of the damage throughout the game will be done by Whirl, and some of it will be from Mirage chucking Sturdy Javelins and Armed Hovercrafts at people. However, if a situation arises in which Solarbot is really good, flipping him to bot mode and getting in a big swing is always a good option in certain matchups, particularly against characters like Sky-Byte, Nemesis Prime and Tread Bolt. Even characters like Metroplex, Soundwave and Blaster are good targets as well. "
