Our next Encounter tournament is a different one! This will be our first Disarray tournament. Each round will have a different effect on the game, the "disarray". It'll be easy to build a deck to deal with one of these, but building a deck to deal with all of them might be a bit harder.
Other than the disarrays, this is a standard full constructed tournament. It'll be played via webcams, with five rounds of Swiss followed by a cut to the top eight bracket.
All beginning-to-end participants will earn
150 for use in our
Shanix Store. They will also earn 3 points towards the 2023 Omega Kup qualifiers.
All top cut players will earn an additional
50 and an additional Omega Kup qualifier point.
The winner will earn another additional
50 and an additional Omega Kup qualifier point.
Secret Actions are played face-up. Rolling Actions come into play untapped.
This does break Spymaster's Ruse & Sitrep Update, and makes it so Counterespionage doesn't work with Secret Actions. When all characters untap, each player reveals the top card of their deck and then moves it to their KO pile.
Done before your draw for turn. Upgrades cannot be removed by OTHER card effects.
Cards still effect themselves, like Grenade Launcher will still scrap itself. You can still play Upgrades to replace current Upgrades. Any time a card causes a player to draw a card, they draw an additional card. Any time a card causes a player to scrap a card from hand, they scrap an additional card from hand.
Does not effect your draw for turn. If scrapping a specific type of card, you must scrap two of that type. Example, you'd need to scrap two Weapons to prevent Master Sword from getting scrapped. When flipping cards for battle, blue battle icons give +1 ATK instead of +1 DEF. Likewise, orange battle icons give +1 DEF instead of +1 ATK.
Does not effect how cards interact with these battle icons. For example, Autobot Nautica, Camien Engineer in alt mode will still get the additional +1 DEF for flipped blue icons. At the very start of EACH turn, BOTH players place 1 damage counter on one of their characters.
Happens before "start of your turn" effects. This is not considered "taking damage", and cannot be negated by cards like Ultra Magnus Armor or Take Cover, nor do cards like W5 Bludgeon or Brutal Conditioning benefit from it. In the event of a possible tie, the current player places their damage first. At the very start of your turn, scrap the top card of your deck. You must play this card if possible. This will count as your Action or Upgrade for your turn, respective of the card type, even if it wasn't played.
This happens before "start of your turn" effects. You've made it this far, now play a normal game with your likely weird decks.
